BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 10. The average monthly nominal salary in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 26,620 soms or $304 from January through December 2022, which is an increase of 31.8 percent compared to the same period of 2021, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the statistics, the real wages in Kyrgyzstan increased by 15.7 percent during the reporting period.
The highest salary was registered in Kyrgyzstan’s capital, Bishkek, and amounted to 32,229 soms or $368, which is an increase of 25.2 percent over 2021.
Meanwhile, the lowest salary was noted in the Osh region (20,366 soms or $232), which is a 44.8 percent increase, compared to 2021.
An increase in the growth rate of average monthly wages from January to December 2022 was observed at enterprises and organizations of all types of economic activity.
The most significant growth was noted in the field of art, entertainment and recreation (72.1 percent), health and social services (49.4 percent), education (44.5 percent), compulsory social security (35.2 percent), professional, scientific and technical activities (26.9 percent), administrative and auxiliary activities (25.6 percent), hotels and restaurants (23.8 percent), mining (23.8 percent), transportation and cargo storage (23.1 percent), wholesale and retail trade, repair of cars and motorcycles (21.6 percent), as well as in construction (21.4 percent).
It should be noted that the conversion of Kyrgyzstan's soms to the US dollar is indicated at today's exchange rate.
