BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 5. The exports from Kyrgyzstan to Poland has increased more than sevenfold year-on-year in the period from January through March 2023, Trend reports.
As the data of the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan show, the exports from Kyrgyzstan to Poland amounted to $893,400 in 1Q2023, whereas in the same period of 2022 the figure was only $119,700.
Imports by Kyrgyzstan from Poland increased 1.8 times in 1Q2023 compared to the same period last year – from $6.6 million to $12.2 million.
Overall, the trade turnover between the countries totaled $13.1 million from January through March 2023, which is 1.9 times more than $6.7 million in the corresponding months of 2022.
Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover reached $2.7 billion in 1Q2023, which is a 25.4 percent increase compared to the same period in 2022 when it stood at $2.1 billion.
The country's exports exceeded $434.7 million, indicating a 15-percent increase over the first quarter of 2022, during which exports amounted to $376 million.
Imports amounted to $2.2 billion, which is a 27-percent rise compared to $1.7 billion in the corresponding months of 2022.
