BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 23. A total of 324.178 million liters of motor gasoline were imported by Kyrgyzstan from January through July 2023, which is a 30-percent decrease compared to the same period in 2022, Trend reports.
Data from the State Statistical Committee indicates that the total value of these imports amounted to $125.858 million, which is a decrease of 44 percent compared to the previous year.
During the review period, Kyrgyzstan imported motor gasoline from three countries: Russia, Kazakhstan, and Belarus. In the same period as the previous year, in addition to these three countries, motor gasoline was also imported from Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

Kyrgyzstan imported 778.811 million metric tons of motor gasoline in 2022, down by 17 percent compared to 2021. The import value amounted to $352.398 million, decreasing 9 percent year-on-year.
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $8.153 billion from January through July 2023, which is an increase of 32.3 percent compared to the same months in 2022.
Exports amounted to $1.602 billion, increasing by 45.6 percent compared to the corresponding months of 2022. Imports rose by 29.4 percent year-on-year, totaling $6.551 billion.
