BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, September 26. Kyrgyzstan’s side has signed memoranda of understanding with Chinese companies totaling over $150 million, Trend reports.
These documents were signed following a business meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Bakyt Torobaev, and representatives of Chinese business circles in Beijing.
As a result of the meeting, six memoranda of understanding were signed between the following parties:
Kyrgyzstan’s Investment Agency and the China Overseas Development Association (CODA)
Kyrgyzstan’s Investment Agency and the Guangdong Building Materials Association
Ministry of Economy of Kyrgyzstan and Shandong Electric Technologies Company
State Water Resources Agency of Kyrgyzstan and China Power International Company
Kyrgyzgeology State Enterprise and the Shinji Shanghai Industrial Corporation
Kyrgyzgeology and the Dearshi Company
During the event, discussions were focused on prospects for business cooperation, export promotion, regional integration, and economic development.
Additionally, during his visit to Beijing, Torobaev held negotiations with the leadership of Chinese companies, namely, "China Gezhouba Group International Engineering" and "COFCO."
Furthermore, a meeting took place with Deng Boqing, Deputy Director of CIDCA (China International Development Cooperation Agency). Following the negotiations, preliminary agreements were reached concerning active cooperation with the Chinese side for the joint implementation of an investment project.
