BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, November 28. Kyrgyzstan's GDP has surpassed the milestone of 1 trillion soms ($11.2 billion) for the first time in the country’s history, Trend reports.
Data from the Ministry of Economy and Trade of Kyrgyzstan shows that as of November 28, it stood at 1.021 trillion soms ($11.4 billion).
During a session on November 23, the Chairman of Kyrgyzstan's Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Administration of Kyrgyzstan's president, Akylbek Japarov, mentioned, the GDP per capita in Kyrgyzstan reached $1,900 in 2023, compared to $1,665 last year. Over the past three years the figure increased by $669.
He added, that these figures demonstrate economic growth and foreshadow even more substantial expansion in the future, encompassing all spheres of public life and significantly enhancing the real living standards of the population.
Kyrgyzstan's GDP increased by 7 percent in 2022, reaching 919.4 billion soms ($10.5 billion) by the year's end.
