BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 7. The first truck freight from Pakistan, via the Pakistan-China-Kyrgyzstan route, has arrived at the North-Eastern Customs in the city of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Trend reports.
Kiyalbek Mukashev, Deputy Chairman of the State Customs Service, Tilek Tekebaev, Minister of Transport and Communications, and Hasan Zaigham, Ambassador of Pakistan in Kyrgyzstan, all attended the arrival ceremony.
Throughout the ceremony It was observed that the introduction of new logistical channels, which allows enterprises to lower costs and speed up freight delivery, is especially important. There is optimism that this new channel will increase trade with Pakistan.
According to Kyrgyzstan's State Customs Service, the country's economic turnover with Pakistan has steadily increased over the last three years. Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with Pakistan was $18.424 million during January through November 2023, representing a 75 percent increase over the same period in 2022.
