BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 7. Kyrgyzstan imported 838,183 tons of agricultural products from January through November 2023, Trend reports.
Data from the country's Ministry of agriculture reveals that the main products for import were grains (225,976 tons), and nuts (133,778 tons).
In addition to this, the primary imported products to Kyrgyzstan were:
Vegetables – 74,259 tons
Non-food crops – 60,447 tons
Fruits – 40,749 tons
Melons – 35,611 tons
Citrus and other tropical fruits – 29,463 tons
Seedlings – 14,579,777 pieces
At the same time, Kyrgyzstan exported 818,972 tons of agricultural products during eleven months.
According to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the country's foreign trade turnover totaled $10.790 billion from January through September 2023, a 26.2 percent rise over the same period in 2022.
Exports amounted to $2.108 billion, increasing 49.6 percent compared to the first nine months of 2022. Imports rose by 21.6 percent compared to the same period in 2022, reaching $8.681 billion.
