BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 11. A total of 2.618 million tons of cement were produced in Kyrgyzstan from January through October 2023, Trend reports.
Data from the country's National Statistical Committee reveals that this figure increased by 7.5 percent compared to the same period in 2022 when 2.435 million tons were produced.
In October 2023, Kyrgyzstan produced 305,900 tons of cement, which is 14.2 percent higher than the same period in 2022 when 267,800 tons were produced.
At the same time, Kyrgyzstan exported 370,633 tons of cement from January through September 2023, which is a decrease of 28.2 percent compared to the same period in 2022 (516,388 tons). The value of these exports amounted to $14.855 million, resulting in a year-on-year decline of 31.5 percent ($21.689 million in 9M2022).
The value of industrial production in Kyrgyzstan reached 377.5 billion soms ($4.2 billion) from January through October 2023, which 1.2 percent more than in the same period of 2022.
