BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, January 25. Kyrgyzstan’s crude oil production amounted to 303,200 tons in 2023, which is a 2.8-percent increase compared to 2022 (294,900 tons), Trend reports.
For December 2023, the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan reported a crude oil production of 25,400 tons, which is a 13.6-percent decrease compared to December 2022 (29,400 tons).
Meanwhile, the value of the country's extraction sector production amounted to 56.117 billion soms ($628.304 million) in 2023, which is a 3-percent growth compared to 2022.
In the overall Kyrgyzstan’s industrial landscape for 2023, the extraction sector accounted for 11.6 percent, processing industries accounted for 77.1 percent, energy supply (electricity, gas, steam, and conditioned air) covered 10.3 percent, and water supply, purification, waste treatment, and recycling made up 1 percent.
Kyrgyzstan's total industrial production reached 482.801 billion soms ($5.405 billion) in 2023, which is a 9-percent increase compared to the same period in 2022.
