BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, March 6. Kyrgyzstan exported 67,269 tons of oil products to Uzbekistan in 2023, Trend reports.
Data from Kyrgyzstan's State Statistical Committee shows that this figure increased by 2.4 times compared to 2022 (27,255 tons). The total value of these exports stood at $18.261 million, which is a 1.8-times increase year-on-year ($9.651 million in 2022).
Uzbekistan secured the second position among the countries to which Kyrgyzstan exported oil products in 2023, with Türkiye holding the top spot. Türkiye purchased 87,204 tons of oil products valued at $56.525 million from Kyrgyzstan.
Overall, Kyrgyzstan exported 188,160 tons of oil products in 2023, marking an 11.3 percent decrease from the 212,250 tons exported in 2022. The total value of these exports was $108.516 million, representing a 24.6 percent decrease from the $143.997 million recorded in 2022.
Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover totaled $15.660 billion in 2023, a 29.9 percent increase over 2022 ($12.057 billion). The country's exports totaled $3.308 billion, up 46.8 percent year-on-year ($2.254 billion in 2022). Imports to Kyrgyzstan totaled $12.352 billion, an increase of 26 percent from $9.803 billion in 2022.
