BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 23. Tajikistan revealed the total volume of country's wheat imports in the first half of 2022, Trend reports referring to the Customs Service of Tajikistan.
According to the statistics, Tajikistan from January through June 2022 imported 374,152 tons of wheat for $119.3 million.
Tajikistan imports the majority of its wheat from Kazakhstan (supplied 366,258 tons of wheat worth $117.7 million during the reporting period).
The total volume of Tajikistan's wheat flour imports in the first six months of 2022 amounted to 26,683 tons ($9.7 million).
Meanwhile, Tajikistan imported goods worth $2.3 billion from January through June 2022, which is an increase of 27.7 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2021 ($1.8 billion).
