BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 22. Tajikistan's Ministry of Agriculture has provided the latest data on volume of vegetable harvest in Tajikistan, Trend reports with reference to the ministry's press service.

According to the Ministry, the total volume of vegetable harvest in Tajikistan as of September 16, 2022 amounted to 1,074,391 tons.

Tajik farmers have collected 442,967 tons of onions, 230,255 tons of tomatoes, 116,854 tons of cucumbers, 109,270 tons of carrots, 45,581 tons of cabbage and 129,463 tons of other vegetables.

"The yield of vegetables in the Sughd region is 284 centners per hectare, in Khatlon region - 319 centners, in the regions of republican subordination - 317 centners per hectare," the ministry said.

Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan reported that in 2021 the vegetable harvest across the country amounted to 3.5 million tons, and this year it is expected to reach 4 million tons.
