BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. The prices for diesel in Tajikistan have remained unchanged in the period from April 24 through 30, Trend reports via the World Food Programme (WFP) 'Market Situation Update' for Tajikistan.
According to the WFP, the average price for diesel fuel in the retail market of Tajikistan as of April 24 amounted to 11.7 somoni ($1.07) for a liter, which has not changed from the preceding week.
“During the reporting period the lowest price for diesel was registered in Panjakent city of Tajikistan -10.5 somoni ($0.9) for a liter, which is 1 percent less than in the last week,” the report said.
Meanwhile, the highest price for diesel was registered in Murghob city of Tajikistan - 15 somoni ($1.38) per liter, which has not changed from the last week.
At the same time, in Tajikistan’s Dushanbe, the price for diesel fuel was estimated at 11.6 somoni ($1.06) for a liter and has not changed from the last week.
WFP Tajikistan, in partnership with the Neksigol Mushovir advisory organization, has been monitoring commodity prices in markets across the country. The price data is collected through the network of field enumerators. For each commodity, multiple traders are interviewed, and the average prices are recorded.
