BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 9. Tajikistan stands for increasing foreign trade turnover with all countries of the Eurasian Economic Community, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda said today in Sochi at a meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the EAEU, Trend reports.
According to him, Tajikistan has close trade and economic ties with the EAEU countries.
He noted that in the country's foreign trade turnover in 2022, the share of trade turnover with the EAEU countries amounted to 42 percent, and also added that the country exports to the EAEU countries almost half of the total volume of exports of Tajik-made goods and is ready to further increase these volumes.
The Tajik Prime Minister called agriculture a promising area of cooperation with the EAEU countries.
"Tajikistan has a huge potential for growing high-quality and environmentally friendly agricultural products, the annual growth of which is at least 8 percent, which contributes to the expansion of the country's export potential," he said.
