BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 24. Tajikistan exported to Türkiye aluminum and aluminum products for $39.307 million from January through May 2023, Trend reports.
The Turkish Statistical Institute data shows that the figure decreased 4.3 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2022, when the exports value amounted to $41.109 million.
So far this year, Tajikistan exported the largest amount of aluminum thereof to Türkiye in March – for $11.806 million. In January of the current year, the aluminum export totaled $2.011 million, in February went up to $9.298 million, in April amounted to $7.333 million, and in May – to $8.857 million.
Trade turnover between Tajikistan and Türkiye reached $224.5 million from January through May 2023, which is 18 percent more than $190.2 million in the corresponding period of 2022.
During this period, export supplies from Türkiye to Tajikistan reached $153.4 million, increasing 43.8 percent compared to the same months of 2022, when exports stood at $106.7. Turkish imports from Kyrgyzstan decreased by 14.9 percent – from 83.5 million to $71 million.
