Value of foreign investments attracted to Tajikistan revealed

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 29. More than 110 billion somoni ($10 billion) in foreign investments have been attracted to Tajikistan over the past 10 years, Trend reports.

This statement was made by Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon in his video address to participants of the "Dushanbe-2023" International Investment Forum.

He specified that out of this amount, over 44 billion somoni (more than $4 billion) constitute direct investments. The president mentioned that there are 82 state investment projects underway in the country, with a total value of over 47 billion somoni (almost $4.3 billion).

The International Investment Forum is taking place in Dushanbe and has gathered over 800 representatives from governments and business circles from more than 30 countries worldwide, as well as international organizations.

In his welcome remarks, President Emomali Rahmon emphasized that hosting such business forums contributes to the expansion of economic cooperation among countries, entrepreneurs, and investors.

The primary objective of the event is to showcase the favorable investment climate in the country, attract investments, foster collaboration between domestic companies and foreign investors, and promote the growth of digital commerce.
