DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, September 30. The share of the private sector in the production of goods and services in Tajikistan is nearly 90 percent, Trend reports.
The President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon made this remark during his speech at the Central Asia and Germany Economic Forum. He emphasized that all necessary conditions have been created to attract foreign investments to the country, and international trade is developing.
"The membership of Tajikistan in the World Trade Organization (WTO) and several international conventions protecting investors' rights also demonstrate the alignment of our country's legislation with international norms," Rahmon said.
According to him, Tajikistan offers favorable conditions for developing trade and economic cooperation with foreign partners.
During his speech, Rahmon outlined the country's abundant water resources, mineral reserves, favorable investment climate, opportunities for attracting foreign investments for joint industrial ventures, and other national priorities.
As part of his visit to Germany, Rahmon participated in the meeting of Central Asian heads of state with the Federal President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, as well.
The event took place in the format of a working breakfast, and it was also attended by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
