DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, November 27. More than 744.382 million passengers were transported by all modes of transport in Tajikistan from January through October 2023, Trend reports.
Data from the Statistics Agency under the President of Tajikistan indicates that this figure increased by 10.1 percent compared to the level recorded from January through October 2022.
During this reporting period, 727.096 million passengers were transported via road, which is a 10.1-percent increase compared to the same period of 2022.
The passenger turnover across all modes of transport amounted to 9.442 billion passenger-kilometers from January through October 2023, which is a 17.2-percent increase compared to January through October 2022.
At the same time, more than 96.733 million tons of cargo were transported in Tajikistan by all modes of transport from January through October 2023, which is an increase of 14.7 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
Of them, over 91.473 million tons of cargo were transported via road transport and approximately 5.259 million tons of cargo were transported via railway transport.
