DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, December 4. The National Bank of Tajikistan has issued an indefinite operating license for the Russian payment system "Astrasend", Trend reports
According to Tajik bank, "Sokolovskiy" commercial bank, which was established and is operating in accordance with Russian laws and regulations, has been granted an unlimited-term license to operate the "Astrasend" payment system in Tajikistan.
"Astrasend" is an international payment system that will be launched in Russia at the end of October 2022 with the goal of delivering high-quality, quick, and easy money transfer services. The "Sokolovskiy" bank operates the system. "Astrasend" currently has roughly 150 partner branches throughout Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
Tajikistan had a total of 63 credit and financial institutions, comprising 14 conventional banks, 1 Islamic bank, 1 non-bank credit institution, 19 microcredit deposit organizations, 3 microcredit institutions, and 25 microcredit funds, as of September 30, 2023.
