Central Bank of Turkmenistan’s names TOP-3 banks with largest number of issued cards

Turkmenistan’s Dayhanbank State Commercial Bank has become the market leader in terms of the volume of issued plastic cards, the Central Bank of Turkmenistan told Trend.

According to the data for 7M2021, Daihanbank issued more than 1.7 million plastic cards.

Turkmenistan State Commercial ranks second in this indicator with more than 913,500 cards, and the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan closes the top-3 with more than 534,600 cards.

At the same time, Dayhanbank, according to the data of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan, mainly works with clients in the regions of the republic. Thus, most of the cards issued by the bank were issued to customers in Mary region (500,100 thousand), Dashoguz (425,200) and Lebap (389,700) regions.

The other two leaders in the ranking, Turkmenistan State Commercial Bank and State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan issued most of the cards for holders living in Ashgabat, 431,300 cards and 497,100 cards, respectively.
