Trend:

Ter komelek economic society gathered its first harvest in a mushroom greenhouse launched this year in the Vekilbazar district of the Mary region, Trend reports citing Turkmen media.

According to the information, the greenhouse is located on an area of 482 square meters, and currently, a rich crop of mushrooms has been grown on the 150 square meters of the greenhouse.

It is reported that a certain air temperature is maintained inside the greenhouse to provide sufficient darkness and humidity for the growth of mushrooms.

It is noted that the mushrooms are grown on compost prepared here. Compost is prepared as a result of processing agricultural waste and is packed in bags of 14-15 kilograms. Sowings of champignons germinate in 60 days. The crop is harvested within one month and sent to customers fresh.

According to the head of the Ter komelek Berdymyrat Atayev, mushrooms are a welcome product, and their compost is a quality fertilizer.

"In the future, we plan to produce new organic fertilizers since they have a very good effect on the growth and productivity of plants," he said.

In addition, it is planned to open a plant for the production of 1,200 tons of champignons per year in the Akhal region.
