BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 5. Turkmenistan’s Dayhanbank State Commercial Bank has become the market leader in terms of the volume of issued plastic cards, Trend reports with reference to the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
As of April 1, 2022, Dayhanbank issued more than 1.7 million plastic cards.
Turkmenistan State Commercial ranks second in this indicator with more than 959,800 cards, and the Turkmenbashi Joint Stock Commercial Bank closes the top-3 with more than 522,500 cards.
At the same time, Dayhanbank, according to the data of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan, mainly works with clients in the regions of the country. Thus, most of the cards issued by the bank were issued to customers in Mary region (509,700), Dashoguz (432,200) and Lebap (395,100) regions.
The other two leaders in the ranking, Turkmenistan State Commercial Bank and Turkmenbashi Bank issued most of the cards for holders living in Ashgabat, 452,200 cards and 186,700 cards, respectively.
