BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 11. Turkmenistan plans to build new industrial installations for the production of isobutane at the Kiyanly polymer plant in the Balkan region of Turkmenistan, Trend reports citing Orient news.

The corresponding resolution was signed by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

Furthermore, the possibility of building such an industrial installation at the plant for the production of gasoline from natural gas in Ahal region of Turkmenistan and at the Balkanabat iodine factory was considered.

Turkmenistan ranks among the world's leading countries in terms of oil and gas reserves. Its gas reserves have increased by 126 billion cubic meters as a result of the industrial development of recently discovered gas fields.

At the same time, the country pays great attention to the creation of oil and gas processing plants, as well as the export of energy resources to world markets.
