BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 21. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received a member of the Board, President of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) Hou Qijun, Trend reports citing the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH).
During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of the second stage of the Galkynysh gas field and the laying of the fourth branch of the Turkmenistan–China transnational gas pipeline.
The CNPC President confirmed the interest of Chinese partners in strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation with Turkmenistan.
Moreover, he noted that the business circles of China express their desire to expand their presence in the promising Turkmen market and their readiness to actively participate in the implementation of large-scale transformative programs and major infrastructure projects being implemented in the country.
Berdimuhamedov noted the positive role of CNPC in long-term relations, which has proven itself as a reliable partner of Turkmenistan in the fuel and energy sector.
