BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 20. The volume of livestock production from January through June 2022 in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan has been published, Trend reports with reference to Jeyhun News.
During this period, 68.1 tons of meat, 302.2 tons of milk and 116.8 million chicken eggs were produced in the region.
Entrepreneurs in the region more than doubled production last year, supplying 323 tons of meat to local markets, which is 164 tons more than in 2020.
Furthermore, at the moment a lot of work is being done in Turkmenistan to develop animal husbandry, increase the number of livestock, manufacture meat and dairy products, and strengthen the feed base of the industry. The improvement of local livestock enterprises continues.
Most of the livestock production accounts for the private sector of Turkmenistan.
