BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 24. The volume of capital investments in the country will exceed 1.35 billion manats ($387.8 million) in accordance with the "Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country in 2022-2028", Trend reports citing the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH).

This was stated at a meeting of the upper house of the Parliament of Turkmenistan on November 23 by the Chairman of this chamber Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

According to him, investments aimed at improving the standard of living of the population are currently increasing, and certain amounts of capital investments should be directed to the construction of industrial and socio-cultural facilities and structures.

Furthermore, Berdimuhamedov stressed the expediency of directing investments to the development of the economy mainly through diversification and the creation of industries on an innovative basis to achieve better results in 2023.
