BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. US continues to cooperate with Turkmenistan in creating mutually beneficial business opportunities, a source in the press service of the US Department of State told Trend.

It was noted that these business opportunities will be developed through the development of trade between the two countries, in particular in the areas of women's economic empowerment, digitalization and modern technologies, as well as diversification of economic opportunities of Turkmenistan.

"As an example, at the moment, we are working with the US Congress to add $20 million in fiscal year 2023 to the Economic Resilience Initiative in Central Asia (ERICEN) to diversify trade routes, expand investment in the region and expand employment opportunities," said the source.

Furthermore, the department stressed that the US also plans to provide $5 million to support regional connectivity through economic and energy programs, and also added that a total of $50 million was allocated for them.
