ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, August 21. Businessmen from Türkiye bought cotton yarn on the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports.
According to official data, entrepreneurs from Türkiye purchased cotton yarn on the exchange for a total of $1.5 million at a price of $2,020 to $2,120 per ton.
This cotton yarn was produced at the enterprise of the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan.
Concurrently, according to the exchange, businessmen from Kyrgyzstan purchased dyed terry products from Turkmenistan for a total of $258,750 at a price of $4,500 per ton.
The production of cotton yarn is an important element of the country's economy and provides many jobs for the local population. Turkmen textile enterprises cooperate with various countries and companies, exporting their products to the world market.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
