ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 6. Turkmenistan imported chemical industry products worth 11.23 million euros from France from January through May 2023, a source at Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, told Trend.
These figures in the reporting period are 7.7 times more than in the first five months of last year (1.44 million euros).
According to the statistical office, in May 2023, Turkmenistan imported chemical industry products from France in the amount of 2.53 million euros, which is 12,4 percent more than in April 2023 (2.25 million euros).
Turkmenistan increased its imports from France 3.4 times in the first five months of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022 (8.63 million euros), resulting in imports amounting to 29.56 million euros.
Meanwhile, during the first five months of 2023, the trade between Turkmenistan and EU countries exceeded 494.66 million euros, marking a 27.3 percent increase compared to the corresponding period in the previous year, when it stood at 406.3 million euros.
