ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 23. Turkmenistan imported 12,000 tons of winter wheat from the Astrakhan region of Russia through the Caspian Sea in August this year, Trend reports.

The entire volume of wheat was delivered to the Turkmenbashi International Seaport in Turkmenistan, where it was distributed between two terminals - the general cargo terminal and the bulk cargo terminal.

The general cargo terminal provides efficient unloading and loading services, which allows you to quickly and safely move cargo to land.

At the same time, in the bulk cargo terminal, grain crops are separated in special grain silos before shipment.

The Turkmenbashi port has 14 modern granaries with a total volume of 35,000 cubic meters, which provide optimal storage conditions and humidity control before its poisoning.

Turkmenistan actively imports flour from Russia in addition to grain. Turkmenistan imported 54,000 tons of flour from Russia in the 2022-2023 agricultural year (from July 1 last year through July 1 this year).
