ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 24. ADB has helped strengthen Turkmenistan 's energy infrastructure by making significant progress in implementing the national energy program, Trend reports.
According to the Asian Development Bank (ADB) fact sheet, this assistance was aimed at improving the efficiency and building the country's potential in the field of energy.
It was noted that ADB provided extensive technical support to the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan and the state utility company to help improve project management capabilities and ensure full compliance with ADB reporting requirements.
"The ongoing National Power Grid Strengthening Project supports the establishment of an interconnected national transmission network to improve electricity supply. Turkmenistan has also benefited from regional technical assistance under the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) Program," the ADB said.
Cooperation between the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Turkmenistan is an important and long-term partnership aimed at supporting the economic and social development of Turkmenistan as well as strengthening its position in the Central Asian region.
