ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 6. Turkmenistan has sold a large volume of textile products to foreign entrepreneurs on its State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, Trend reports.

According to the exchange, representatives of UAE business groups concluded a deal with the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan for the purchase of cotton yarn for a total of $404,800 and with local entrepreneurs for the purchase of regenerated fibers from textile waste for a total of $140,000.

At the same time, Turkish entrepreneurs concluded a deal with local entrepreneurs for the purchase of fabric for a total of $73,600, and Kyrgyz businessmen for the purchase of waste produced in spinning and regenerated fibers from textile waste for a total of $63,000.

Furthermore, Belarusian entrepreneurs have concluded a deal with local enterprises of Turkmenistan on the exchange for the purchase of 100 percent cotton fabric for a total amount of $180,400.

Turkmenistan plans to allocate more than $300 million for the implementation of over 30 projects in the textile industry by 2025.

Major investments will be directed not only to expanding existing capacities, but also to creating more than 10 new production facilities based on current enterprises..
