Turkmenistan increases sale of oil, textile products through its commodity exchange

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 27. The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan held auctions last week, at which it concluded contracts with foreign businessmen totaling $50.86 million, Trend reports.

According to the exchange, this is about 5.7 times more than in the previous reporting period, when the cost of raw materials sold amounted to $8.8 million.

Over the past week, businessmen from Türkiye, the UAE, Afghanistan and other countries have purchased heating oil produced at the enterprises of the Turkmenistan's Turkmennebit State Concern and carbamide manufactured by the Turkmenhimiya State Concern.

At the same time, other entrepreneurs from Azerbaijan, the UAE and Kyrgyzstan purchased dyed terry products, cotton yarn and denim.

Furthermore, local entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan purchased cotton waste, crude fatty acids, flannel fabric, handmade carpets, bedding sets, coarse calico and raw silk for a total amount of more than 16.7 million Turkmen manats ($4.7 million).

A total of 36 transactions were registered at the auctions of the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week.
