ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 1. Turkmenistan is completing the construction of a new glycyrrhizic acid production plant in the second industrial zone of the Turkmenabat city, located in the Lebap region, Trend reports.
According to an official source, the construction of the plant began in accordance with a decree signed by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on January 14, 2022.
Furthermore, the construction and landscaping of the facility is carried out by 'Mizemez gadam' enterprises.
The enterprise includes, in addition to the production shop and administrative premises, buildings for work and recreation of specialists, a warehouse for storing raw materials, materials, a dining room and a sports ground.
After commissioning, the company will be able to produce 390 tons of glycyrrhizic acid per year, preparations that are hepatoprotectors with immunomodulatory and antiviral effects.
Meanwhile, Turkmenistan is actively developing its industrial sector through the construction of various plants covering a wide range of industries.
In particular, the construction of new chemical plants is one of the country's priorities aimed at diversifying the economy.
