(Turkmenistan.ru) - The presentation ceremony of a new book of poetry "Turkmenistan - bagtym menin" ("Turkmenistan - the land of my fortune") written by Saparmurat Niyazov was held in the Turkmen parliament's sitting hall yesterday. As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports, the presentation was organized by the culture figures and public organizations of Turkmenistan, reports Trend.
The announcement of completion of the new poetry book and its publication was made by the author himself at an award ceremony of the winners of the art contest "Golden Age of Turkmens" on October 13. According to Niyazov, verses of love prevail in the book.
It should be noted that the President of Turkmenistan is the author of two volumes of Ruhnama and four poetry books.
Those speaking at the ceremony noted that the new book came as a present for the Turkmen people on the eve of the 15th anniversary of independence marked on October 27.
"The book's distinctive feature is that the most part of the book is made of lyric on the perpetual topic of love in the very broad sense of its meaning, the State news agency (TDH) notes. For love is the foundation of our world. Without love and its all-triumphant force a man is comparable to a bird without wings who is deprived of the ability to comprehend life to the full, the president believes. In the new book, the president has again demonstrated virtuoso fluency of mother tongue, reaching, at the same time, unsurpassed figurativeness and expressiveness. Beautiful poems, songs and philosophical quatrains - rubai - created according to the best traditions of oriental poetry have undoubtedly enriched the genre palette of the book."
