Uzbekistan Airways cancels number of flights to Turkey

Uzbekistan Airways has canceled a number of flights to Turkey due to the worsening coronavirus situation in this country, Trend reports, referring to the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan.

According to the information, Turkey introduced a full lockdown and a 24-hour curfew, which will last till May 17.

In this regard, Uzbekistan Airways has cancelled the following flights:

May 14. — Tashkent - Istanbul - Tashkent;

May 7, 10 and 14 — Samarkand - Istanbul - Samarkand;

May 1, 5, 8, 12 and 15 — Fergana - Istanbul - Fergana;

May 2, 9 and 16 — Urgench - Istanbul - Urgench.

It is reported that the daytime flights Tashkent - Istanbul - Tashkent (HY 271/272) will remain unchanged.

Earlier it was reported that the Civil Aviation Agency of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan (Uzaviation) issued a permit to Turkish Airlines to operate regular flights in the direction of Istanbul - Urgench - Istanbul and Istanbul - Fergana - Istanbul.

In addition, starting From April 3, regular flights from Fergana to Istanbul have been launched.
