Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan eye accelerating implementation of roadmap for industrial co-op

Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan discussed the importance of joint efforts for the earliest practical implementation of the roadmap for industrial cooperation, Trend reports referring to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

On May 11, 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbayev in the city of Xi'an (China) within the framework of the participation of the Uzbek delegation in the second ministerial meeting of the Central Asia-China format.

It is reported that parties exchanged views on topical issues of developing bilateral multifaceted cooperation, as well as the prospects for regional cooperation.

The ministers noted the importance of the practical implementation of the agreements reached following the summit talks held in Tashkent in March this year.

Also, it was emphasized that it was possible to reach a number of agreements that were significant in their results, strengthen mutual trust, expand relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership between the two fraternal peoples and countries.

In addition, the parties noted the importance of joint efforts for the earliest practical implementation of the roadmap of industrial cooperation, the project of a multimodal transport corridor and the construction of a railway along China - Kyrgyzstan - Uzbekistan route.
