The Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan did not include the fees paid for buying a car on the secondary market in the budget for 2022, Trend reports via Telegram channel of Uzbek deputy Doniyor Ganiev.

According to deputy, this follows from the official response of the Ministry of Finance to his request with a proposal to reduce the rates of state duties and fees paid for buying and selling used cars.

“This means the abolition of payments collected from citizens in amount of several million soums, when registering a vehicle with the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, taking into account power and the date of release of the car," the deputy said.

According to him, the response also indicates that The Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Justice will revise the amount of state fees paid for the notarization contracts for the sale and purchase of cars and develop a bill on amendments to the law "On state fees".

The deputy added that lowering transaction costs for car registration will increase the volume of vehicle sales in the secondary market and lead to a decrease in their prices.
