Japanese Noritsuisu Co. Ltd company plans to establish production of furniture in Uzbekistan, Trend reports via Uzbek media.
The mentioned issue was discussed during the meeting between Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Japan Mukhsinkhuzha Abdurakhmonov with the chairman of Noritsuisu Co. Ltd Michio Aoki.
During the meeting, the sides noted that the mentioned project envisages production of various furniture for office, medical and educational facilities locally, in Tashkent.
The total cost of the project is estimated at $3 million. At this stage it is planned to manufacture over 5,000 units of furniture annually, with possible expansion of production capacities. Commissioning and start of production are scheduled for 2023.
Currently, the representatives of the Japanese company are preparing the necessary equipment to be shipped to Uzbekistan.
Michio Aoki said that the possibilities of not only of selling products in the domestic market of Uzbekistan, but also of exporting them to neighboring countries, are being considered.
Aoki plans to visit Uzbekistan in December to resolve organizational and technical issues related to the launch of the production.
