Uzbekistan adopts new dev't strategy program for 2022-2026

Uzbekistan has adopted "New Development Strategy for 2022-2026" program to ensure economic stability, Trend reports referring to the press service of the president of Uzbekistan.

According to the press service, there will be taken several measures in different sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan within the program.

The Uzbek authorities plan to reduce inflation to 9 percent in 2022 and to 5 percent in 2023, and to reduce budget deficit to 3 percent.

By the end of 2026, the share of the private sector in banking assets will reach 60 percent.

From 2023, it is planned to reduce value added tax to 12 percent. The income tax for businesses such as banking, finance and telecommunications will be reduced to 15 percent.

It is planned to increase energy efficiency by 20 percent and to reduce harmful emissions by 10 percent.

From July 1, 2025, a single electronic register of all mandatory requirements for entrepreneurship will be launched.

Until April 1, 2022, obtaining a license and other permits in the country will be simplified.

Monopolies for more than 25 types of activities will be eliminated.
