BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 6. Uzbekistan imported 3.9 million pairs of shoes worth $17 million from 39 countries from January through November 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The volume of footwear imports increased by 39,200 pairs compared to the corresponding period in 2021.
During this period, most of the footwear was imported from China in the amount of 2.6 million pairs, followed by Türkiye (1.1 million pairs), Russia (50,700 pairs), Vietnam (43,600 pairs), Indonesia (18,500 pairs), Italy (14,600 pairs), Czech Republic (7,600 pairs), and India (6,600 pairs).
Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover from January through November 2022 amounted to about $50 billion.
