BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 22. Uzbekistan and PT Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company discussed further areas of cooperation in the chemical industry, Trend reports.
According to official information, these issues were discussed by representatives of the Embassy of Uzbekistan with the President of PT Pupuk Indonesia Ahmad Bakir Pasaman, Director of Production Bob Indiarto, Vice President for Procurement Arif Fauzan.
Investment projects in the chemical industry of Uzbekistan were presented to the Indonesian side at the meeting.
During the talks, Ahmad Bakir Pasaman noted that Indonesian state bodies and organizations, as well as economic entities, are showing great interest in the rapidly developing Uzbekistan.
In particular, the president of the company paid special attention to the prospects of the chemical industry of Uzbekistan and the high quality of potassium chloride mineral fertilizer and also said that Indonesia is interested in potassium chloride and other fertilizers of Uzbekistan for agricultural purposes.
The chemical industry of Uzbekistan is an important sector of the economy, playing a key role in the development of the country. Uzbekistan has significant reserves of natural resources, such as natural gas, oil, and uranium, which provide the basis for the development of the chemical industry.
Several large chemical complexes are concentrated in Uzbekistan, including the production of fertilizers, plastics, chemical fibers, rubber, medicines, and other chemical products, while the country actively attracts foreign investment and technology to modernize and expand its chemical enterprises.
