TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, September 20. Polish Luba Sohn Holding plans to establish the production of foam panels in Uzbekistan worth $7–10 million, Trend reports.
The news followed a recent meeting between Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Poland Bakhrom Babaev and Chairman of the Board of Luba Sohn Holding Krzysztof Slaby, where the parties discussed the construction of a plant for the production of polystyrene foam blocks and components for the thermal modernization of residential buildings in Uzbekistan.
The area of the plant is planned to be 5 hectares, including production workshops, a logistics center, laboratories, and warehouses for finished products. The project is said to create 300 to 400 jobs.
The plant plans to annually produce up to 300,000 cubic meters of foam panels with a thickness of 30 to 200 mm. The production of nets, glue, foundation bolts, hooks, acrylic plaster, antifungal, and hydrophobic preparations is planned for the near future.
Earlier this year, the sides held the first round of talks in regard to establishing successful cooperation in the agriculture sector. The sides discussed the prospects of creating a joint investment project to boost agricultural machinery production in Uzbekistan.
