TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 11. The Chamber and Industry of Commerce of Uzbekistan and the Chamber of Commerce of the Czech Republic have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, Trend reports.
The news followed a meeting between the representatives of both chambers during the Uzbek-Czech business forum aimed at comprehensively strengthening business ties between entrepreneurs from the two countries.
The forum was held in Prague within the framework of a working visit by an Uzbek delegation headed by Uzbekistan’s Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov to the Czech Republic from October 10 through October 11, 2023.
The signed document is aimed at developing and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries.
Earlier this year, the CzechTrade agency expressed its willingness to open an office in Uzbekistan’s Tashkent. The office is expected to be established in 2024, extending its assistance to exporters in nearby Tajikistan and potentially Turkmenistan, depending on the prevailing conditions.
In the meantime, starting in July 2023, representatives from the existing office in Almaty, Kazakhstan, will provide support to exporters.
