TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 11. Uzbekistan's large enterprises produced 59,000 tons of petroleum coke from January through December 2023, Trend reports.

The data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency shows that the volume of production increased by 23.9 percent year-on-year.

In addition, the volume of petroleum coke produced by large enterprises in Uzbekistan reached 7,400 tons in December 2023.

Meanwhile, Condor Energies Inc. (Canada) has signed a contract with Uzbekistan to increase the production and overall recovery rates of eight natural gas condensate fields in the country.

According to the Canadian company, the project helps increase domestic natural gas supply and reduce carbon emissions.

Condor, through a local subsidiary, will provide production enhancement services under an agreement with Uzbekneftegaz, a state-owned holding company of Uzbekistan's oil and gas industry.
