TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 28. Suppliers from Uzbekistan will be able to enter Ozon (one of the first e-commerce companies in Russia), President of Russia Vladimir Putin said, Trend reports.
He spoke at the first meeting of the Council of the Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia.
According to him, the total volume of Uzbek sellers' products sold on the Russian Wildberries online marketplace grew by 93 percent to $418 million by the end of 2023.
Meanwhile, Ozon has launched direct deliveries in Uzbekistan.
Ozon said buyers in Uzbekistan can now make orders and receive the ordered items at partner pick-up points, as well as at 1,660 Uzbekistan Post offices, with an average delivery time of 12 days.
Moreover, Ozon plans to develop its own logistics infrastructure in the country in 2024, including warehouse complexes and a delivery service. The company also plans to actively develop a franchise network of branded pick-up and delivery points.
