Pakistan Defense Minister, in a meeting with Iran Ambassador to Islamabad Ali Reza Haqiqian, described mutual cooperation in the field of military and security as 'good' and called for further cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad, IRNA reported.

In a meeting here on Tuesday evening, Haqiqian and Seyed Navid Qamar discussed issues of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation in the field of defense.

The ambassador praised Pakistan role in fighting against terrorism in the region and hard work of armed forces of the country.

The new Pakistan Defense Minister said bilateral cooperation in different fields is growing and relations are friendly and brotherly.

He added that cooperation of the two countries in the fields of defense and military secures Iran and Pakistan interests in the region and these ties necessitate double interaction and progress.
