Canada, Australia and Denmark ready to hire Iranian workforce

Canada, Australia and Denmark have expressed readiness to hire Iranian workforce in the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), while Iran plans to dispatch 5,000 workforce abroad, said Director General of Department of Employment Promotion in Ministry of Labor, Cooperatives and Social Welfare.

"The Ministry of Labor is to establish offices in destination countries to send workforce, which will facilitate the deployment of labor force abroad and support Iranians working there," said Mohammad Akbarnia, Trend reports citing Mehr News Agency.

"The offices operate in Oman, Canada, Turkey, Australia, Denmark and Germany," he added. "The offices are established via bilateral cooperation of Iran Foreign Ministry and destination countries. Although Iran has no embassy in Canada, the office of employment support has been established and is active there," he noted.

"According to estimations, Germany needs 700,000 foreign workers and targets to employ 250,000 workforce at the first phase.An agreement between Iran and Germany on this issue has been concluded and the work is in progress," he added.

"The number of Iranians to be dispatched to Germany depends on both political issues and technical capabilities of each individual," he said..

"Around 1,700 Iranian workers were sent overseas through employment offices last Iranian year (started March 21, 2018). It is expected that this figure will reach 5,000 in the current year," he noted.
