Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi addressed the country's potential for increasing exports to the region, especially to neighboring countries, Trend reports citing Presidential Official website.
"The volume of the country's export can certainly double," President Ebrahim Raisi said in an interview with Iran's state TV.
President Raisi called Iran's current share of regional trade, disproportionate.
"Strengthening relations with neighboring countries is a priority,” he said asking all economic actors to be ready for boosting trade and economic relations in the region.
President Raisi said the administration seeks to activate the country's economic diplomacy, by sending 35 new Commercial Advisors to the Iranian embassies abroad.
He went on to say that several foreign officials have declared their willingness to improve trade and economic relations with Iran.
President Raisi informed an upcoming meeting with Iranian ambassadors to the region, focusing on trade and economic issues.
