An Iranian delegation of tradesmen and economic activists will visit Switzerland in late September.

The Iranian and Swiss sides will discuss tourism, heavy industry, machine industry, banking, medicine, pharmaceutics, chemical industry, staples and aviation industry, ISNA news agency reported Aug. 9.

During the trip, two business conventions will be held in Geneva and Zurich, the report adds.

The two countries started efforts to rebuild their trade relations after the nuclear agreement was made between Iran and the group 5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China and Germany) in July 2015.

Under anti-Iran sanctions, Iran-Switzerland trade turnover fell drastically.

Iran’s annual export to Switzerland stood at $19.9 million in 2006, to go down to $10.7 million by 2012.

In 2006, Iran imported from Switzerland worth $2.3 billion goods. The number stood at $2.4 billion in 2015.
